Meet Sam

Sam Taylor is an occupational therapist and the founder of Go Beyond Therapy, a practice dedicated to supporting neurodivergent children and their families across Australia through both face-to-face and online services. Since launching Go Beyond Therapy in 2019, Sam has worked with hundreds of families, offering support around emotional regulation, school transitions, sensory processing, and building confident, connected relationships at home and in the community.

What sets Sam apart is her unwavering belief that therapy shouldn’t just focus on the child—it should support the whole family. She takes a truly holistic approach, recognising the emotional load parents and caregivers often carry and ensuring they feel equipped, empowered, and understood. Her work acknowledges that when families are supported, children thrive.

Sam is known for her practical, down-to-earth style and her ability to translate complex concepts into realistic, actionable strategies that fit into everyday life. Her work includes individual therapy, group programs, school and community collaborations, and a growing library of online resources and courses. Whether she’s working with a parent, educator, or support worker, Sam’s approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and the belief that small steps can lead to meaningful change.

She’s also the host of The Go Beyond Therapy Podcast—a welcoming space for the entire disability community, including families, therapists, disability support workers, and anyone dedicated to supporting children on their unique journeys. Through open conversations and practical insights, Sam brings people together to share knowledge, reduce overwhelm, and strengthen the circle of support around every child.
