NDIS - The Basics

If the NDIS feels overwhelming or confusing, you're not alone and you're in the right place.

NDIS – The Basics is your clear, no-jargon introduction to understanding how the system works and how to get started with confidence.

This self-paced course is designed for parents, carers, and professionals or anyone who is new to the NDIS or want to revisit the foundations with clarity and support.

Inside, you'll learn:

  • What the NDIS is and who it’s for

  • How to apply and what information you’ll need

  • What’s considered "reasonable and necessary"

  • What supports and services can be funded

  • The role of goals in planning—and how to write strong ones

  • How to prepare for your first planning meeting or reassessment

  • The different types of NDIS plans (agency-managed, self-managed, plan-managed)

  • Communicating with LACs, planners, and providers

  • Downloadable cheat sheets and planning templates to help you prepare

You don’t need to become an expert overnight—but with the right guidance, you’ll feel far more prepared and in control of the process.

NDIS - Deep Dive

You’ve got the basics—now it’s time to take things further. NDIS – Deep Dive is designed for parents, carers, support coordinators, and professionals who want a deeper understanding of how the NDIS really works in practice.

With so many changes rolling through the system, staying informed isn’t just helpful—it’s essential. This course unpacks the details, clears up common misconceptions, and gives you practical tools to make the NDIS work for your unique situation.

Inside, you'll explore:

  • What’s changed in the latest NDIS Price Guide and how it affects funding

  • "NDIS 2.0" and what upcoming registration changes mean for families and providers

  • Understanding the difference between parental responsibility and what should be funded

  • What the NDIS does and doesn’t fund in education settings

  • Insights from the Royal Commission and how this may shape the future of the NDIS

  • An overview of Foundational Supports and the future of this style of support

  • The future role of Navigators

  • Strategies for reviews, appeals, and managing changes of circumstances

  • Downloadable templates, scripts, and advocacy tools for immediate use

How it will work

We know how overwhelming the NDIS can feel—so this course has been designed to make the learning process simple, supportive, and paced in a way that actually works.

Our course content is entirely pre-recorded, allowing you to learn at your own pace. You’ll gain access to the full series starting on the dates below, so you can dive in whenever it suits you.

NDIS – The Basics access on 29 May

NDIS – Deep Dive access on 12 June

Your 60-day access period begins on 12 June (when the full bundle is available).

This timing is intentional—giving you space to absorb the foundations first before moving into the more detailed content. You’ll be supported throughout with email check-ins, reminders, and helpful prompts to keep you on track and make sure it all makes sense.

If you’re needing more personalised support during the 60-day access period, Sam is available for individual telehealth appointments. Please note these sessions are offered separately and will incur an additional cost.

We’ll also be updating the content during your access period, especially as we move through the end of financial year. You can expect a breakdown of any new NDIS Price Guide changes, plus ongoing adjustments to reflect current policy updates.

You won’t just get information—you’ll get relevant, real-time support to help you feel confident navigating the NDIS.
